Yodha starts on an entertaining note and without wasting any time, the focus shifts to the main conflict. A lot happens in the first hour and interestingly, it doesn’t follow the template of the conventional hijack films. Sadly, the film gets too confusing and technical. The intermission point will leave viewers wondering what exactly is happening in the film. Things get clearer in the second half; still, a few aspects will go over the heads of the viewers. The climax fight, meanwhile, is too similar to that of a recent film. Sidharth Malhotra, however, looks quite cool doing action and it was heartening to see whistles and claps in his scene in the climax. Raashii Khanna puts up a superb act. Disha Patani shines in the second half. Kritika Bharadwaj (Tanya Sharma) is the surprise of the film. Sunny Hinduja (Rafiq), Tanuj Virwani (Sameer Khan), Chittranjan Tripathy (S N Dhingra) and Sanjay Gurbaxani (Indian Head of State) lend able support. Farida Patel (the mother) is wasted. All in all, Yodha fails to impress due to its complicated narrative.
