Toilet – Ek Prem Katha made me realize that how certain things that I take for granted are not easily available for millions of people in India. It is highly informative and is sure to register an impact. In fact, I won’t be surprised if people start mouthing dialogues of the film while ridiculing those who are reliving themselves in the open. Unfortunately, Shree Naryan Singh’s direction and editing is not worthy. The film is too fast at places, too slow in second half. What was the relevance of Sana Khaan’s sequence exactly? Things drag in the film and all of a sudden move at a super-fast speed. If this inconsistency was taken care of, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha would have been in another league altogether! Akshay Kumar is terrific and this is surely one of his greatest performances! Bhumi Pednekar is so awesome – glad her next film is coming in less than a month! Divyendu Sharma plays the supporting part very well – this guy is too good! Sudhir Pandey is very convincing. Here’s hoping the film gives the industry the much needed hit and to the viewers, the much needed entertainment and also basic manners!
My rating – *** out of 5!
