(Crisp) Movie Review: THE WILD ROBOT by FENIL SETA

The Wild Robot might remind viewers of Wall-E. The initial portion is also a bit repetitive. But things get on track soon. The beauty of the plot is that it’s unpredictable. You might assume that you know where the film is heading but chances are that you’d be proven wrong as the film packs in a lot in just 102 minutes. The second half has some great heroic moments while the finale is different but justified. The voiceovers are great, especially by Lupita Nyong’o; she is effortless. Pedro Pascal (Fink), Kit Connor (Brightbill), Catherine O’Hara (Pinktail), Bill Nighy (Longneck), Stephanie Hsu (Vontra), Mark Hamill (Thorn) and Matt Berry (Peddler) also do well. All in all, The Wild Robot is a film to watch out for.
