The Marvels doesn’t waste any moment. The story proceeds from the first shot. The madness happens soon and it leads to a lot of humour and chaos. The comedy is fresh and has not been seen before in any MCU film. Hence, it keeps the interest going. The bond shared by the three superheroes is heartening. Sadly, it is too short and one gets a feeling that it gets over too soon. The villain track is weak and the climax fight is underwhelming. A few developments are also questionable. Iman Vellani is rocking and adorable. Brie Larson is dependable as expected and raises laughs with her goofy act in a few scenes, which comes as a surprise. Teyonah Parris is fine but gets dominated. Samuel L Jackson raises laughs. Zawe Ashton (Dar-Benn) is strictly okay. Park Seo-joon (Prince Yan) is too good and one wishes that he had a longer screen time. Zenobia Shroff (Muneeba; Kamala’s mother), Mohan Kapur (Yusuf; Kamala’s father) and Saagar Shaikh (Aamir; Kamala’s brother) are lovely. All in all, The Marvels is a one-time watch entertainer.
