(Crisp) Movie Review: SKY FORCE by FENIL SETA

Sky Force is about a fascinating chapter of Indian history that not many are aware of. In fact, the audience will be stunned as the characters in the film are very heroic and deserve to be celebrated. It is just 125 minutes long and moves at a quick pace. The investigative track in the second half and the climax are the best parts of the movie. On the flipside, the first half gives a déjà vu of Fighter. The songs are poor. Also, the makers should have stressed on the achievement of the character. What he achieved is out of the world but it’s mentioned in such a manner that one might not realize the greatness of it. Akshay Kumar, as expected, rocks the show and thankfully, he’s there from start to finish. Veer Pahariya is strictly okay. Thankfully, he plays such a brave character that it works for him. Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur are decent extended special appearances. Sharad Kelkar is simply brilliant and apt for the part. The others who leave a mark are Manish Chaudhari (David Lawrence), Soham Majumdar (Cockroach), Varun Badola (Air Vice Marshal Amit Narang) and Gurpal Singh (Mehta). All in all, Sky Force makes for a decent watch.
