Sing 2 is a fun-filled entertainer and a worthy sequel. The first part, however, was a tad better. The conflicts faced by the various characters in the predecessor were quite challenging and hence, made for a great watch. Here, the stakes are a bit higher but at the same time, it is also a case of what-do-they-have-to-lose kind of situation. Thankfully, the makers compensate for this shortcoming with the extended climax. It’s a visual treat and works big time on an emotional level. As for the voice cast, Matthew McConaughey (Buster Moon), Reese Witherspoon (Rosita), Scarlett Johansson (Ash), Taron Egerton (Johnny), Nick Kroll (Gunter) and Tori Kelly (Meena) are the most impressive. Bono has also done a fine job. All in all, Sing 2 is an ideal family entertainer this season. Do not miss if you have enjoyed the first part!
