Photograph is no The Lunchbox. The love story is lovely but has a few rough edges. Few scenes are unconvincing and some sequences are needless. The 110 minute long film ideally should have been of 90 minutes. On the positive side, the way the romance blossoms is sweet. The association of the lead characters with one another and that off the female character with her maid are endearing. The characters are also very well thought of. If only the goofs were taken care of and the film had a less ambiguous ending, it would have gone on another level. Talking of performances, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is damn good as always, underplaying his part like a pro. However it’s Sanya Malhotra who takes the cake. She is simply outstanding and outshines everyone. The way she gets into the skin of her character is seen to be believed! Geetanjali Kulkarni leaves a huge mark. Farrukh Jaffar is lovable. Saharsh Kumar Shukla and Akash Sinha are decent. Jim Sarbh has a unique look but is hardly there. Sachin Khedekar is okay. All in all, Photograph deserves to be seen, especially if unconventional, niche films are your cup of tea!
