Mom is the best Hindi film of 2017 so far! It is based on a simple idea and there have been similar such films in the past but the execution is brilliant and so gripping that viewers won’t have any reason to complain, in that regard. The only minor drawback is that it’s predictable. But the film makes up for it with the brilliant editing, performances and music-background score (both by A R Rahman). Sridevi is simply phenomenal and it’s great to see that she is rocking even at this age with her performance and choice of roles. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is mysterious as well as adorable – another great performance by this powerhouse performer. Akshaye Khanna has lesser screen time but leaves a huge mark. Abhimanyu Singh is menacing. Great work by debutant director Ravi Udyawar too!
