(Crisp) Movie Review: MERE HUSBAND KI BIWI by FENIL SETA

Mere Husband Ki Biwi rests on an interesting idea. The dialogues are funny and the characters are very well fleshed out. Despite its run time of 141 minutes, it doesn’t look dragging. On the flipside, though the film has funny dialogues, it doesn’t have ample funny goings-on. An important plot point, shown initially in flashes and glimpses, is missing from the film and it takes away the impact majorly. Lastly, it gives a déjà vu of films like De De Pyaar De, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and even Housefull. Arjun Kapoor puts in a sincere effort and he’s apt for such roles. Rakul Preet Singh is quite entertaining. Bhumi Pednekar takes the cake; she slips into the role effortlessly. Harsh Gujral dominates and raises a lot of laughs. Dino Morea, Aditya Seal, Tiku Talsania and Mukesh Rishi leave a mark. All in all, Mere Husband Ki Biwi is an average fare.
