Khichdi 2 has its share of outrageously funny scenes and it keeps the interest going. The run time is just 121 minutes and it starts on a great note, which sets the mood. But after a point, the dialogues start to feel monotonous. A film like this could have had some physical comedy but the makers chose to rely only on the gags. Some jokes are mouthed too quickly and don’t make the desired impact. Speaking of performances, Supriya Pathak, Rajeev Mehta, J D Majethia, Anang Desai and Vandana Pathak all do very well; fans will have no complaints from them. Kirti Kulhari is horribly wasted. Anant Vidhaat (Kushal) is fine. Paresh Ganatra doesn’t get much scope. Kiku Sharda is entertaining. Reyaansh Vir Chaddha (Wazir) is okay while Flora Saini (Rani Gulkanda) is over the top. Farah Khan and Pratik Gandhi are superb. All in all, Khichdi 2 is an average product.
