Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi turns out to be a fun-filled entertainer and is a worthy sequel to the first part. The film has some loose ends – a couple of sequences don’t make the viewers go LOL as intended. The film gets slightly stretched in the second half and the climax should have had more dhamaka. But on the positive side, the dialogues are hilarious and some of the scenes are sure to bring the house down. The film is very well directed and one doesn’t get confused despite so many characters and two of the leads having the same name. Jimmy Sheirgill as expected takes the cake. He’s highly endearing as the guy who never gets the girl and it’s great how smartly he’s playing on this bit. Piyush Mishra also contributes a lot to the fun. Sonakshi Sinha delivers a brilliant performance. She was ideal for this part and dominates certain sequences single handedly. Jassie Gill is a surprise. Honestly, from the trailers, he didn’t seem that exciting but in the film he has killed it. Jason Tham and Denzil Smith are too good and are sure to be talked about. Ali Fazal and Diana Penty also have an important part and they do well. If you have loved the first part and if you strive for some timepass fun, there’s no way you can miss Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi!
