(Crisp) Movie Review: HANU-MAN by FENIL SETA

Hanu-Man is a fairly entertaining flick, on the lines of Karthikeya 2, as it blends mythology with a modern-day tale of good vs bad. The film takes a while to build up but once it does, it makes for a nice, massy experience. Certain scenes are clap and whistle worthy. At the same time, the goings-on is a bit clichéd and give a been-there-done-that feeling. The ending doesn’t make you go ‘Wow’, as intended. Teja Sajja delivers an entertaining performance and ably plays the part of the main lead. Amritha Aiyer looks lovely and does fine. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is rocking as the hero’s sister. Vinay Rai is a bit over the top as the villain. Vennela Kishore (Siri) leaves a mark. Getup Srinu (Kasi) hams but raises laughs too. Raj Deepak Shetty (Gajapati) is okay. All in all, Hanu-Man is a decent timepass entertainer.

My rating – *** out of 5!
