Extraction 2, which releases tomorrow on Netflix, has loads of action, as expected. The story begins from where part 1 ended. The much-talked-about 21-minute-long ‘one take’ shot is simply mind-blowing and nail-biting. It takes the film to another level. The fight in the second act is also very captivating. The climax fight, however, is underwhelming. The fights in the first half and middle of the second hour are terrific and the finale flight fails to reach that level. In fact, the film could have ended after the second act. Speaking of performances, Chris Hemsworth yet again nails the part and shines in the emotional scenes. Golshifteh Farahani has a better role this time and does well. She is quite great in the action scenes. Adam Bessa (Yaz) is okay. Tornike Gogrichiani (Zurab) is fine as the villain. Tinatin Dalakishvili (Ketevan) and Andro Japaridze (Sandro) play crucial parts with panache. Mariami Kovziashvili and Marta Kovziashvili (Nina) are cute. All in all, Extraction 2 has an underwhelming climax but is still worth it, especially for the 21-minute-long ‘one take’ shot.
