(Crisp) Movie Review: DUNE: PART TWO by FENIL SETA

Dune: Part Two is visually stunning. This is a film for the big screen without a shred of doubt. The story begins from where the first part ended. A few scenes are nail biting and take your breath away. The entry of villain is terrific. Sadly, the film is too long (167 minutes). The antagonists get a raw deal and are not depicted as dreaded baddies as they should have. Also, the hype generated by the Western reviews is crazy as if it’s the next Avatar or Avengers and the film nowhere reaches that level. Timothée Chalamet is superb and goes in a very new zone in the second half. Zendaya gives a very likeable performance. Austin Butler looks quite badass but is let down by the writing. Javier Bardem, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgård, Josh Brolin and Florence Pugh also deliver fine performances. All in all, Dune: Part Two is a one-time watch.
