Dil Bechara is a heartbreaking watch, not just because of it’s theme but majorly and obviously because of Sushant Singh Rajput. For most parts in the film, he plays a man who is a full-of-life and who is always cheerful. To see him being goofy, filmy and romantic and to see him flashing his cute smile is sure to make your eyes moist. We were hit by the news of his demise last month and we are going to get hit again after watching this flick. Talking about the film, it’s just 101 minutes long and is sweet and touching. The first half is terrific while the film sadly falls in the middle of the second half. Thankfully, it picks up in the finale. Speaking of other performers, Sanjana Sanghi too gives her best and delivers a memorable performance. She has a fine screen presence and she’s sure to have a great run as a leading lady. Saswata Chatterjee is adorable while Swastika Mukherjee gives yet another fine performance after Paatal Lok. Sahil Vaid is too good as always. Saif Ali Khan’s cameo is great and only he could have pulled it off. A R Rahman’s music is average and only the title song works. Special mention should also be done of cinematographer Setu and production designers Amit Ray and Subrata Chakraborty. All in all, don’t miss Dil Bechara and thank you Sushant for everything you’ve done to entertain us. It’ll never be forgotten!
