Despicable Me 4 is just 95 minutes long but packs in a lot. There are multiple tracks going on and a lot is happening. Yet, it doesn’t get overwhelming or complicated. The humour quotient works big time. Interestingly, the Minions don’t exactly have anything to do with the principal plot. But their presence takes the film to another level as they are the life of the franchise. The climax, however, is a downer; the film doesn’t end on a high. The voiceovers are great by Steve Carell (Gru) followed by Will Ferrell (Maxime Le Mal) and then Joey King (Poppy Prescott). Pierre Coffin is too good as the voice of the Minions. As for Sofía Vergara (Valentina), one expects a lot from her but her character hardly gets any lines. All in all, Despicable Me 4 is a must-watch film for the fans of the series.
