(Crisp) Movie Review: DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE by FENIL SETA

Deadpool & Wolverine starts on a hilarious and crude note and that’s what you expect from a film featuring Deadpool. The humour once again takes the film to dizzying heights and this time, even the plot is promising. The finale is nail-biting. But it’s the dialogues and references to Disney-Fox merger and many other Hollywood-related aspects that take the cake. On the flipside, the film has a lot of connections with the past films of X-Men. It’s been a while since most of us have seen them and hence, a few jokes and references might go over the head. A fight in the middle portion is repetitive and could have been done away with. Ryan Reynolds, as expected, is terrific and so is Hugh Jackman. Their chemistry is something to watch out for. Emma Corrin (Cassandra Nova) plays a difficult part with ease. Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Rob Delaney (Peter), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al) and Matthew Macfadyen (Mr Paradox) do well in supporting parts. The film has a lot of surprise cameos too. All in all, Deadpool & Wolverine is a crazy entertainer.
