De De Pyaar De is a fun, entertaining and surprisingly quite a progressive flick. It has a fine message and makes an important statement. But Luv Ranjan adds sufficient amount of humour and entertainment to make it more effective. The first half is sweet and funny but the second half is madness to another level. Some developments however are difficult to digest. This takes away the impact to some extent. At one point, one fears where the film is heading. But thankfully, all gets well in the pre-climax and climax. Talking of performances, Ajay Devgn is excellent and underplays his part beautifully. It’s also nice to see a male character who is kind of damsel-in-distress here and not someone who can solve all problems! Rakul Preet Singh looks amazing and performance wise, she is first rate. Her confident act is sure to get her a lot of fans from Bollywood viewers too. She dominates the first half while in the second half, it’s Tabu all the way. She gets to play such a great character and her act gets better and better as the film progresses. Inayat is over the top. Alok Nath, Jaaved Jaaferi, Sunny Singh and Bhavin Bhanushali are funny. All in all, De De Pyaar De deserves loads of pyaar from the viewers. Recommended!
