Crazxy features Sohum Shah of Tumbbad fame in the lead and is also produced by him. Like Tumbbad, this is also a hatke film. It has a run time of just 93 minutes and though there’s not much of a story, it keeps viewers hooked. The first half is slow while in the second half, the tension levels go to another level. There’s a 10 minute sequence in the film that is never-before-seen and truly applause worthy. It’ll go down in history as one of the most novel sequences of Hindi cinema. One expects the climax to be similarly outstanding. Sadly, though the suspense is unpredictable, it is also very disappointing and takes away the charm of the earlier sequences to a great extent. Sohum Shah, more or less, is the only actor in the film and he’s terrific to say the least. To hold the film single-handedly is no easy feat but Sohum comes out with flying colours. Unnati Surana leaves a mark in a small role. As for the voiceovers, Tinnu Anand is the best followed by Nimisha Sajayan, Shilpa Shukla and Piyush Mishra. All in all, Crazxy suffers due to a poor climax but deserves to be seen for its novelty value and Sohum Shah’s riveting performance.
