Bucket List is the debut Marathi film of Madhuri Dixit and presented by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. This is a feel-good film of a housewife trying to fulfill the wishes of her 20-year-old heart donor. The premise is very endearing and the film has some great, touching moments that will surely be loved. The predicament of the lead protagonist is very well portrayed as her quest of completing the bucket list makes her do things that are contrary to the expectations from her. This bit is nicely executed. However, the writing and direction is disjointed at places and not smooth. Few developments are conveniently skipped. Madhuri Dixit however is terrific and delivers a stupendous performance. Her act does remind one of Sridevi in English Vinglish but no complaints as Madhuri brings her own jalwa and that’s also quite likeable. Sumeet Raghavan makes his presence felt while Sumedh Mudgalkar is an actor to watch out. Renuka Shahane is delightful and one wishes she had more scenes with Madhuri. Shubha Khote brings the house down. All in all, it’s a one-time watch and a must for Madhuri Dixit fans!
