Bob Marley: One Love begins on a dramatic note. The makers, instead of covering his entire life, focus only on a certain time period and it’s an interesting idea. The confrontational and dramatic scenes are deftly executed. The songs of Bob Marley are also well-woven. Sadly, after a great start, the film becomes too slow and boring. A few developments are not explained properly. Also, a benchmark has been set by films like Bohemian Rhapsody and Elvis and this flick no way reaches that level. Kingsley Ben-Adir, however, makes the film bearable and is perfect for the part. Lashana Lynch (Rita), Anthony Welsh (Don) and others also leave a mark. All in all, Bob Marley: One Love is an insipid drama.
