Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 begins on a solid note and the horror and comedy elements keep the interest going. The script is superb and so is Anees Bazmee‘s direction. He doesn’t lay out all his cards at once and keeps unravelling the mystery slowly. Hence, viewers will be thoroughly invested and even curious about the goings-on. Sadly, the humour quotient is less this time, compared to part 2. There are too many songs and the interest level dips in the middle of the second half. Thankfully, the climax takes the film to another level. The suspense will SHOCK you. Kartik Aaryan is in great form. He is a pro in comedy scenes but watch out for him in the dramatic sequences. His dance moves are also praiseworthy. Vidya Balan, as expected, rocks the show. Madhuri Dixit has less screen time but makes up for it with her performance and gracious screen presence. Triptii Dimri gets a bit overshadowed but manages to stand out in some key scenes. Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra and Ashwini Kalsekar raise laughs although in some of their scenes, the writing could have been better. Manish Wadhwa (Rajpurohit) suits the part to the T. Rajesh Sharma, Vijay Raaz, Arun Kushwah (Tillu), Shataf Figar (Vicky Khanna), Kanchan Mullick (Faulad Singh) and Denzil Smith (Maharaj in 1824) are decent. All in all, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is worth watching for the writing, direction, performances and climax. P.S.: 1. Don’t miss the beginning and the scene immediately after intermission; 2. Please be a RESPONSIBLE and SENSIBLE moviegoer and do not put out the suspense anywhere. Let people get astonished in cinemas.
