(Crisp) Movie Review: AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA by FENIL SETA

One can’t help but have some expectations from Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha due to its casting and director Neeraj Pandey. It’s also refreshing to see somebody attempting a mature love story. The initial portions are intriguing while the intermission point is arresting. But soon, it becomes clear that there’s not much of a story. The much-hyped twist in the climax is such that one can see it coming from a mile away. The music score also is poor and this is shocking as the songs are composed by M M Keeravani. Ajay Devgn, however, makes the film bearable and works hard to essay the role of a man who’s come out of prison after 23 years. Tabu shockingly has limited screen time although she does well. Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee M Manjrekar have considerable screen time and they deliver as per the requirement. Jimmy Shergill is dependable. Sayaji Shinde is hardly there and yet, his character is given such royal treatment. Jay Upadhyay (Jignesh) leaves a huge mark and also raises laughs. Hardik Soni (Pakya) is apt for the part. All in all, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is a highly disappointing film.
