(Crisp) Movie Review: ALIEN: ROMULUS by FENIL SETA

Alien: Romulus is imaginative, in the sense that it’s set after the events of the first part of the series, Alien. The initial 20-25 minutes are slow but soon, the viewers are presented with nail-biting moments. However, one needs to see the first film to understand the goings-on properly. In case you haven’t, things will go above your head. And if you have seen it and remember the events or even the other films in the series, the film would seem repetitive. The climax also doesn’t give a high as intended. Cailee Spaeny (Rain) is superb but it is David Jonsson (Andy) who shines. Archie Renaux (Tyler), Isabela Merced (Kay), Spike Fearn (Bjorn) and Aileen Wu (Navarro) are decent. All in all, Alien: Romulus is an average flick.
