(Crisp) Movie Review: ADBHUT by FENIL SETA

Adbhut is a horror film by Sabbir Khan, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shreya Dhanwanthary and Diana Penty. Instead of releasing in cinemas or on an OTT platform, it premiered on Set Max today (September 15). The 120-minute long film is watchable and has some spooky moments that keep the interest levels up. The suspense is unpredictable as well. However, the investigation by the detective is difficult to digest. A few developments are unconvincing and the climax is unconventional. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is not in his best form but nevertheless puts up a good show. Shreya Dhanwanthary is impressive as expected. Diana Penty shines. She has never done anything of this sort before and that also adds to her performance. Rohan Mehra is dependable. The actors playing Rakesh Malhotra and Gajraj’s assistant Sonu are fair. All in all, Adbhut is an average film and can be seen on OTT (whenever it releases) if you are in the mood for a horror flick.
